Karen is President, CEO and Chairperson of the Board of an Insurance company. She has spent her entire 30 year career in the Insurance industry. Karen has had dogs as part of her family since she was a young girl and is excited to bring her energy and passion to Kodiakcare! Born and raised in Chicago, Karen and her husband Doug now reside in Florida. Karen and Doug love traveling and spending their time with their new granddaughter – Samantha – and their grand dogs Penny, Lyra, Buddy and Dennis!

A favorite personal dog story
Our family has a love for English Bulldogs, and when our kids were younger, we had a bully named Deuce. At a very young age she was stolen from our family. When we found her and got her back she had serious health issues and know first-hand the emotional and financial costs of caring for a beloved member of our family. No one should have to be in a position where they have to make decisions to save a life based only on financial concerns. We will never forget the moment we saw her again!! Our family was incomplete without her. We were able to have her longer and are grateful for the memories of Deuce and our children and want to do as much as we can to help other families have the same memories!
