Nya
Time is of the essence when a puppy needs critical care. Nya was battling coccidiosis, a parasitic disease, couldn’t stop vomiting and faced extreme dehydration. The three month old terrier mix needed help and her owners needed financial aid. Thankfully Angell and KodiakCare ensured she got the necessary care. IV fluids, a feeding tube, and antibiotics brought Nya back to her loving family.
Rhino
KodiakCare and Rhino are new friends after KodiakCare helped fund Rhino’s emergency surgery to remove a corn cob with CRISP, Chicagoland Rescue Intervention and Support Program, KodiakCare’s newest partner. CRISP is Chicago’s only shelter diversion program. CRISP offers medical services to dogs and families in need.
Bella
Bella arrived with a serious infection in her uterus that required emergency surgery. Her family could not cover all of the costs and were devastated by the possibility of losing their sweet girl. KodiakCare stepped in and covered the extra costs of surgery and Bella made a full recovery. She is back home with her loving family.
Kelley
Meet Kelley; a lovable 8 year old bulldog whose life we saved last week. Kelley decided that eating bird seed was a good idea, which sounds harmless, but created a life-threatening blockage. Like so many families, Kelley’s could barely afford the diagnostic charges and had nothing left for the required surgery. They were faced with having to euthanize their beloved dog. Then KodiakCare stepped in and paid the surgical costs. KodiakCare was formed to provide funding for life-saving veterinary care for families with limited financial means. We know how much dogs mean to families and that when we save a dog, we save their humans too.
