Thor

Thor was hit by a car and sustained a broken front leg, which can be life-threatening for a larger dog.  He’s a young husky boy who snuck out as his mom was entering the house and went to cross the street to play with a friend when a car hit him.  His mom took him to the ER and got an estimate for $7,000 to address the break  She is a widowed mother, having lost her husband 9 months ago, and is raising three children on her own. The thought of losing their dog was overwhelming.  She was referred to the Connecticut Humane Society where they found a veterinary orthopedic surgeon to partner with them, lowering the costs and then using KodiakCare funds to save Thor. He survived and this family avoided another devastating loss thanks to our donors.
