Jeffrey Deslandes is a former CPA turned Project Manager helping to bring audit procedures into the 21st century. He is excited to combine his professional background with his love for animals to make KodiakCare a streamlined operation.
Why kodiakcare
Since the young age of zero I have had a love for animals. Over the years I’ve found opportunities to help animals through volunteerism and adoption. I see KodiakCare as the next stepping stone in my animal loving career and take pride in ensuring that people’s furry family members have the life they deserve.
A favorite personal dog story
While scootering around in Indonesia, my wife and I saw a puppy in a ditch, under a bush, on the side of a very busy road. We discovered that had lost his mother and was hiding, crying from fear and hunger. We were unable to capture him so we called a local shelter who could only meet us the next day.
We returned at dawn and luckily he was in the same spot. When the shelter arrived two hours later they were able to catch the pup. At the shelter he was treated, fed, and introduced to the other rescues.
While we strongly debated adopting Padang (his new name) ourselves, we were happy to hear that someone else adopted him within a week of our rescue!
